Advanced Project Showcase

Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) 7–9

This page presents advanced-stage projects at MSRIT AICTE IDEA Lab, including major projects, high-maturity prototypes, deployable engineering systems, and innovations that demonstrate readiness for real-world operation.

These projects represent a significantly higher level of technological maturity. Early-stage and intermediate mini projects are documented separately under the TRL 1–3 and TRL 4–6 pages.
Advanced maturity

What do TRL 7 to TRL 9 represent?

TRL 7 to TRL 9 corresponds to advanced engineering maturity, where prototypes are demonstrated in operational environments, systems are completed and qualified, and technologies approach or achieve actual deployment.

TRL 7
System Prototype Demonstrated in Operational Environment

A near-complete prototype is demonstrated in a real or operationally realistic environment, showing that the system works beyond laboratory constraints.

TRL 8
System Complete and Qualified

The full system is built, integrated, and qualified through testing and evaluation. The technology is close to deployment readiness.

TRL 9
Actual System Proven in Real Use

The final system performs successfully in actual operational settings, representing the highest level of maturity and real-world applicability.

TRL 7–9 Progression

Projects on this page typically move from operational demonstration to full qualification and then to proven real-world deployment.

Stage 7
Operational Demo

Prototype validated in a realistic environment

Stage 8
System Qualification

Integrated system completed and tested thoroughly

Stage 9
Real Deployment

Technology proven in actual operational use
