The Advanced Manufacturing Tools Laboratory is equipped with a comprehensive set of powered fabrication tools for drilling, cutting, routing, grinding, sanding, finishing, and assembly support.

Major Powered Equipment:
  • Drilling and fastening tools including Bosch GBM 1600 RE, GSB 600, GSR 185-LI, GSB 180-LI, and GBH 2-28 DV rotary hammer
  • Cutting tools including GST 90 jigsaw, GKS 190 circular saw, and Dremel Moto-Saw
  • Surface preparation and finishing tools including GBG 60-20 bench grinder, GEX 125-1 AE random orbit sander, GHO 6500 electric planer, and angle grinder
  • Routing and shaping tools including GOF 130 power router with router bit starter kit
  • Thermal and bonding tools including GHG 20-63 hot air gun and PKP 18 E glue gun
  • Precision rotary tools including Dremel 3000 and Dremel 8240 cordless rotary tool
These tools support prototyping, fabrication, workshop training, component finishing, model making, product assembly, and general manufacturing practice.

  • Inspection Camera GIC 120 C for internal and hard-to-reach visual inspection
  • Granite Surface Plate, steel rules, tri-square, and measuring tapes for workshop marking and reference setup
This combination of measuring and inspection tools helps students and project teams improve fabrication accuracy, assembly alignment, fit verification, and process reliability.
In addition to the major equipment, the laboratory includes a broad set of hand tools, rework tools, consumables, and workshop accessories needed for full fabrication support. Selected Workshop Support Tools:
  • Professional screwdriver sets, Allen keys, spanners, pliers, hammers, files, vices, clamps, and hacksaw tools
  • Portable welding machine, de-soldering machine, solder wick, wire stripper, hot air blower with soldering iron, and DC regulated power supply
  • Manual PCB drilling support, PCB drill bits, cutters, and electronics prototyping accessories
  • Adhesives, glue sticks, tapes, fasteners, nuts, bolts, washers, studs, and mechanical assembly consumables

Key power tools include professional Bosch systems such as the GSB 600 impact drill, GSR 185-LI cordless drill/driver, GST 90 jigsaw, GKS 190 circular saw, GOF 130 router, GBH 2-28 DV rotary hammer, and GEX 125-1 AE random orbit sander, supported by Dremel rotary and precision cutting tools for detailed work.
